Information on COVID-19

The district and building nurses will continue to closely monitor and track covid cases when presented with documentation of a positive case.  GPS will also continue to follow our current isolation protocols if a student or staff member tests positive for Covid-19.  On-going monitoring of data will determine if reimplementation of past protocols is needed.


Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19)
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is responding to an outbreak of respiratory disease caused by Coronavirus (COVID-19). The CDC is following this rapidly evolving health situation. On January 31, 2020, the United States declared a public health emergency. On March 11, 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared COVID-19 as a global pandemic.

The CDC say the things that fight the flu are important now: 

•  Wash your hands frequently with soap and water (LINK: CDC video demonstration on hand washing

•  Help your students to wash their hands well 

•  Regularly clean and disinfect high-traffic surfaces 

•  Do not drop off your sick child at school 

•  Stay home when you’re sick
