Cedar Hollow Families,

Wow! May continues to be busy and fast-paced. We are trying to take it slow and soak in all the fun moments of celebration as we wrap up the year.

We kicked off the week with a Glow Dance Party in the gym. Students came down at different times to enjoy a fun celebration honoring the “Cedar Holla” cards they earned throughout the year. Our students have worked hard following our GPS expectations throughout the school: Giving Kindness, Practicing Accountability, and Staying Safe.

Our 5th-grade students showcased their hard work during the Night of Memories program. They performed for the school on Thursday morning and again for their families that evening. They were joined by the 4th- and 5th-grade choir, and Mrs. Smith organized an amazing show. Thank you to the teachers and students for all their preparation and dedication. They are ready for middle school!

We have a busy final week of school ahead. We are closely watching the weather for Field Day on Tuesday and will make a decision Monday morning if a reschedule is necessary. The make-up day, Wednesday the 21st, is also showing rain in the forecast, so we are exploring all options, including Thursday, May 22nd. We'd love to keep it outdoors so families can attend and avoid moving it indoors. Thank you for your understanding.

We will be having a 5th-grade “walk out” to end the day on Friday. 5th-grade students will walk through a tunnel of students and staff in the halls and then out the front doors at approximately 11:10 AM. They’ll loop back to their classrooms for one final goodbye before dismissal. Please contact your child’s teacher with any dismissal changes for that day.

As always, we appreciate your support and partnership.

Have a great weekend with your family!
