Cedar Hollow Families:

We had a great week at Cedar Hollow. Here are a few of the highlights!

  • Guardian Run - Last weekend, our running club members participated in the Guardian Run. Thank you to to the parents and coaches for all of their support!

  • Guardian Glow - We have recently celebrated Mrs. Hansen's class and Ms. Husing's class for earning a Guardian Glow.  I am excited to see classrooms continuing to work hard and setting an example following our expectations.

  • Kindergarten Field Trip - Our kindergarten students experienced a fun and engaging field trip to the Omaha Zoo this week.  We are so thankful to our district for providing these amazing opportunities for students.

As we begin the countdown of our final three weeks of the school year, the excitement in the building is growing. Here are a few important updates and highlights as we head toward the finish line:

  • Book Fair - The Cedar Hollow book fair begins on Monday.  Please join us on Wednesday, May 6th for an evening shopping event paired with the "Pancake Man" who will be cooking pancakes in the commons.

  • PTO Luau - The end of the year Luau will be held on Friday, May 15th at 5:30 pm.  We will have yard games, music, food, and much more.  Bring your own lawn chair and enjoy a night of community together!  Kona Ice will be here and there will be hot dogs and meals for sale!

  • Field Day: Field Day is currently scheduled for Wednesday, May 20th, and invite parents to join us for the outdoor festivities. (May 21st will be our rain date)

  • All-School Picnic: Our school-wide picnic is also planned for May 20th. To help our kitchen staff prepare, teachers will send a form to let us know if your student will bring a sack lunch from home or purchase one from the school.  Please submit for the child in the specific classroom.

    • A Note on the Picnic: While we love having parents join us for activities, we kindly ask that parents do not join us for the lunch portion of the day. We like to keep the picnic a special time for students and school personnel to bond.

  • 5th Grade "Walk Out" - After our end of the year assembly on the last day, we will be sending off our 5th grade with a walk out.  They will parade through the hallways and out front of the school.  5th grade parents will receive more information and are welcome to attend outside.
