Stephanie Lindhjem
Stephanie Lindhjem is an experienced middle school counselor with 17 years of dedicated service in the education and counseling field. For the past 9 years, she has been a vital part of the team at Gretna Middle School, where she provides guidance and support to students, helping them navigate academic, social, and emotional challenges.
Stephanie is passionate about fostering a positive and inclusive school environment, and she works closely with students, parents, and staff to ensure every student has the tools they need to succeed. With her extensive experience, she brings a compassionate and understanding approach to counseling, empowering students to grow and thrive during their middle school years.
Outside of her professional life, Stephanie enjoys working out to stay healthy and energized, traveling to explore new places and cultures, and shopping for the latest trends. Her well-rounded interests help her connect with students on a personal level, making her an approachable and supportive figure in the school community.
Terry Dostal
Terry Dostal has been a middle school counselor for 20 years and in education for 25 years. Mr. Dostal has been a vital part of Gretna Public Schools since 2010 and has worked at Gretna Middle School, Gretna High School, and now serves both Aspen Creek Middle School and Giles Creek Middle School. His strengths lie in his ability to build strong relationships with students and families as they navigate the middle school years.
Mr. Dostal is actively involved in coaching and supporting extracurricular activities at both the middle school and high school levels. You can find him coaching intramural basketball, girls’ basketball, and high school track at GHS. Coaching gives Mr. Dostal the opportunity to see his students in a different setting and strengthen those connections.
Outside of school, Mr. Dostal and his wife have three children—two in college and one in 9th grade at GHS. Their family enjoys staying active in the Gretna community and attending sporting events to support their daughter and other Gretna students.
