Mrs. Henning's Nature Club took a 'time out' this morning to soak up the morning sun and fresh air. What a beautiful sunrise to take in!






On September 24th, the Gretna Public School District Board of Education was honored with the prestigious President’s Board Award, presented by the Nebraska Association of School Boards. This recognition celebrates the Board’s dedication to excellence in leadership and their ongoing commitment to professional development. Mrs. Jones kindergarten class had a busy day! They practiced making 6 in math and sported sunglasses won by the Harvest Run fundraiser! Way to go Kindergarteners!

From puzzle-solving to board games, and active indoor games, these superstars had an absolute blast!











Mr. Rhode's 4th grade class took to the field today to learn the art of throwing a football! Our young athletes showed off their skills, learned new techniques, and had an absolute blast.
From perfect spirals to (occasional) wobbly tosses, every throw was a triumph! We're proud of our students for trying their best, supporting each other, and having so much fun.






Shoutout to the BEST first-grade team EVER! These incredible educators keep us laughing all day, every day! Their dedication, creativity, and passion for teaching make our school days brighter. From silly jokes to spontaneous dance parties, they make learning FUN! We're so grateful for their hard work, teamwork, and unwavering support.

Our first-grade class had an absolute blast celebrating Western Day today!
The kids dressed up in their best cowboy and cowgirl attire, and we spent the day learning about the Wild West through fun activities and games.
We're so proud of our little buckaroos for their imagination, teamwork, and enthusiasm!

Today, our little learners celebrated Apple Day in kindergarten! We had an absolute blast exploring the wonderful world of apples!







Ms. Coffey's 5th Grade Class is buzzing with artistic energy!
This week, we dove into the vibrant world of graffiti name art and intricate Zentangle hand art. Students unleashed their creativity, experimenting with colors, patterns, and designs.





Mrs. Collins' first-graders are getting creative with watercolors! They brought Pete the Cat to life with vibrant colors and imagination! Our talented artists had a blast painting their favorite feline friend. Check out our amazing artwork!





First Graders are having a deliciously fun-filled week learning about apples! From tasting different varieties to exploring the life cycle of apples, our students are discovering the wonders of this amazing fruit.




Learning is in full swing in Mrs. Schultz's first-grade class!
Our young mathematicians dove into the world of graphing! They explored, created, and analyzed their very own graphs, discovering the magic of data visualization.






Join us on September 19 at 6:30 p.m. at Aspen Creek Middle School for a county-wide tax hearing. Gretna Public Schools and other Sarpy County entities will present their plans in this "Pink Postcard Hearing." We invite residents to participate and share their input.

Mrs. Matousek's second-grade class is learning about the magic of thesauruses! 📚✨ They're discovering new words and finding synonyms like pros! 🤓
Who knew there were so many ways to say "happy"? 😊 From joyful to ecstatic, and from cheerful to thrilled, our young learners are expanding their vocabulary and taking their writing to the next level! 📝

Gretna Public Schools invites the community to a budget hearing on September 9 at 7:00 p.m. at the District Office. A tax hearing and the regular board meeting will follow, providing an opportunity for public input.
